LATROBE, Pa. (Dec. 1)- For the second time in program history, the Saint Vincent College Women's Bowling team has cracked the top-20 of the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) poll. The Bearcats are ranked #17 in the latest edition of the poll.
Saint Vincent is the lone NCAA Division-III program listed in the top-20 in the poll.
Earlier this month, the Bearcats ranked #21 in the nation in the NCAA All-Divisions poll conducted by the National Tenpin Coaches Association. The Bearcats were the only NCAA Division III team to make the top-25.
Led by Head Coach
Jeff Zidek, the Bearcats have posted a record of 33-2 in NCAA competition through the fall semester, and has the highest winning percentage (.942) in the nation.
The team has competed in nine tournaments with four wins, two second- and two third-place finishes. Saint Vincent ended the fall semester with a tournament victory in the Hilbert Classic in Buffalo, posting a 9-1 overall record including 4-1 against NCAA Division I opponents.
Over the last couple of days, the Bearcats finished 8th of 42 teams at the Glen Carlson Invitational in Las Vegas.
