Men's tennis wins at W&J

WASHINGTON, Pa. (Apr. 14)- The Saint Vincent men's tennis team earned a 5-2 Presidents Athletic Conference win at Washington and Jefferson on Monday afternoon.

The Bearcats (15-4, 5-3 PAC) took two of the three doubles points from W&J (7-9, 4-3 PAC) to take a 1-0 lead, before winning four the six singles matches to earn their fifth PAC win of the year.

At the top doubles spot, Brian Lee and Braden Yokopenic earned a 6-3 lead. Matthew Sadusky and Jack Citrone also picked up a win, with their's coming at second doubles. They won by a score of 7-6 (7-2) to put SVC up 1-0 in the match.

Yokopenic and Lee both earned their second wins of the day at the top two singles spots. Yokopenic won 6-1, 6-1 in the top sinlges position, while Lee earned a 6-4, 6-3 win at number two singles for Saint Vincent.

Citrone and Kyle Murray also earned wins in singles for Saint Vincent, with Citrone winning at five singles and Murray's coming in the sixth spot. Citrone won by a score of 6-1, 3-6, 7-6, while Murray earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory for SVC.

Saint Vincent will now await to see who their opponent will be in the upcoming PAC playoffs.
