TRAFFORD, Pa. (Sept. 7)- Senior Saint Vincent Quarterback
Jake Phillips was named the Presidents Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week in football after his impressive week one performance.
Phillips led the Bearcats in their 60-6 offensive outburst victory against Hilbert, completing 19-of-25 passes for 303 yards and six touchdowns while also rushing for a TD.
Phillips' six touchdown passes are the second-most in a single game in program history, trailing onlyÂ
Derek Stewart's seven-touchdown performance against Grove City in 2016. Five of his scoring passes came in the first half and Phillips added a one-yard TD run just before halftime.Â
The Bearcats will now enjoy a two-week bye week, before returning to action on Saturday, September 26 when they play host to Allegheny College. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Chuck Noll Field.
