Saint Vincent College

Captain of the men’s golf team, Derek is a finance major and mathematics minor.  Derek won the Fall 2013 conference championship with a 70-74, tying a Bearcat mark.  He also accumulated the lowest tournament scoring average (76.5) for the Bearcats during Fall 2013.  Derek thrice earned PAC Golfer of the Week (4/22/13, 4/23/12 and 4/3/11).  He earned PAC Academic Honor Roll in 2011, 2012, and 2013.  Derek helped the Bearcats earn their first national berth with a top-ten Fall 2012 showing and a T11 Spring 2013 effort at PAC.  He anchored Saint Vincent’s 2^nd place finish at W&J on 10/14/13 with a 74-75, where he won individual runner-up.  He also led the Bearcats to a second place finish at CMU on 10/10/13 with a 75 to tie for fourth individually. 
 
Derek captured first place at the Doug Rogers Memorial on 4/18/13 at Latrobe Country Club with a 76.  He tied a Bearcat record with a second day 69 (-3) at Allegheny College on 9/17/12, on route to a T3 finish overall.  Derek card 77-71 at Carnegie Mellon on 4/14-15/12, helping the Bearcats to a 3rd place finish while capturing third place individually.  He helped lead SVC to a 2nd place finish at Fall 2011 PAC carding 77-79 (T17 overall).  During Spring 2011, Derek finished T4 at Carnegie Mellon, 4/21/11 with 76, T2 at Pitt-Greensburg, 4/13/11, runner-up with 70-74 at Carnegie Mellon, 4/9-10/2011, and.  Derek leads the team in driving accuracy and has one of the best short games in the conference.
