Biography
2024-25: Earned All-AMCC First Team honors. Finished the season with an average of 185, with an 80.5% makeable spare percentage and a strike percentage of 37.3. Had games of 243 and 231 in the Niagara Fall Invitational on November 2, finishing the day with an average of 203 in 43 frames. Earned All-Tournament Team honors at the season-opening Ohio Bowling Conference event (Oct. 5), averaging over 190 for the day with a makeable spare percentage of 92.3%. Named to the All-Tournament Team after finishing 5th in the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic (Jan 11) with an average of 196.7. Named Tournament MVP at the Bobcat Classic (Feb 1-2) and AMCC Player of the Week, averaging 194 to lead the field in Traditional play. Finished second in the AMCC's second round robin event of the season (Feb 8-9) with a 187 average. Averaged 206 in Baker games in the AMCC Championships.
2023-24: Named to the AMCC Second Team, finishing the year second on the Bearcats in average (179.9). Led the team in makeable spare percentage (76.6). Started her junior season by earning All-Tournament honors at the Grapevine Classic (Oct 14-15), averaging 186 over five games. Named AMCC Player of the Month for December. Led the team in the Collegiate Shoot-Out in Las Vegas with an overall average of 188, including a 228 against Wichita State. Finished 10th overall in the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic (January 13) with a 4-game average of 190.2. Posted the second highest average among all bowlers in the AMCC Round Robin #2 (Feb 2-4), 183.6.
2022-23: Earned All-Tournament Team honors at the 2023 AMCC Championships. Finished the season with a combined NCAA/USBC season average of 177.3. Named to the All-Tournament Team at the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic (1/14/23), finishing second overall with a four-game average of 193.7. Her high game of 227 was tops among all bowlers in the event. Finished the Br. Pat Lacey Memorial Tournament (2/11) with an average of 200, including individual game scores of 219 and 220.
2021-22: Named AMCC Player of the Week for the week ending 11/21/21, with a per-frame average of 19.69, the highest of any bowler at the 9-team, two-day AMCC conference event. Led the Bearcats with a 47.2 strike percentage over the tourney. On the second day of the event, recorded a rare "clean" day, never missing a single pin, with all strikes and spares en-route to a Baker average for the day of 21.33. Finished the season with an NCAA average of 170.0.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduate of Niceville High School in Niceville, FL. A former resident of Japan, England and Turkey, she was the Euro Pepsi Zone Champion in 2015. Has won 4 titles in Southern Scratch Junior Bowling Association events, and was the 2020 Florida Singles High School Champion in the handicap division, after finishing third in 2017. Her season average as a senior was 188, with a high game of 288.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Greg and Ireland Strickland, "Beanie" is majoring in Digital Design with a minor in Marketing.
