Andy Hoffman joined the SVC staff in 2014, reuniting with head coach Ron Dolciato. Hoffman continues to serve as the Associate Head Coach, while overseeing the offensive line.Â
More recently, Hoffman was the Offensive Coordinator - Offensive Line, Special Teams Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator for North Park University in Chicago from 2010 to 2013.
A 1990 graduate of John Carroll University, Andy was a four-year varsity letterman during his playing days, named All-Conference and Most Valuable Lineman in 1988. Â Following his career on the field, he served as an assistant coach in 1990 and 1991 at Allegheny College. Â The Gators won the NCAA-III National Championship in 1990.
From 1992-99, he was an assistant coach at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, where the team earned conference championships three straight years, 1994-96. Â During that time, Andy also earned a Master's degree in Physical Education/Teaching from the University of Missouri.
In the fall of 1999, he moved to the University of Maryland, where he served as a graduate assistant coach of the offensive line, before joining Lake Forest College in 2000 as Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator - Offensive Line.
He then returned to his alma mater, John Carroll, in the fall of 2001. Â In 2002, JCU earned an Eastern Regional championship and made it to the national final four. Â
Over the course of his career, Hoffman has won more than 60% of his games on the sidelines and produced more than 40 all-conference performers, half of which were first team selections. Â He has coached 7 All-Americans and four Players of the Year.
Andy and his wife Tracie have two daughters, Emily and Andrea.
