Coach Gonzalez joined the coaching staff prior to the 2017 season as the Director of Player Personnel.
Gonzalez is in charge of all recruiting operations for the program.
From February 2016 through July 2017, he served as a recruiting assistant at Division I University at Buffalo on head coach Lance Leipold’s staff.
Before joining collegiate football, he was a physical education teacher and high school football coach in New York for nearly a decade, serving a combined eight years at Wayland-Cohocton High School and Dansville High School.
Gonzalez received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Brockport in Physical Education and his master’s degree from SUNY Brockport in Athletic Administration. He played collegiately at the University of St. Mary, an NAIA program in Leavenworth, Kansas.
He is married to his wife Stephanie and they have two dogs Zorro and Oreo.
