Biography

2015: Started all 10 games at linebacker, totaling a team-high 68 tackles (41 solo), which included a career-high 9.5 tackles for loss. Recorded a career-best three sacks and forced a fumble. Notched a season-high 11 tackles in a loss at Case Western Reserve. 

2014: Started all 10 games at linebacker, recording 78 tackles (36 solo), including 6.5 for loss.  Had two sacks, forced one fumble and recovered two.  Finished the season on 11/15 against Bethany by recording 14 tackles.  The previous week against Geneva (11/8) he tallied 12 tackles and his first career interception.

2013: Appeared in 10 games. Finished with 50 tackles (32 solo) and one TFL. Recovered one fumble against Westminster. Totaled 9 tackles against W&J. Picked up 8 tackles against Geneva, Grove City, and Bethany.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in both football and wrestling for four seasons.  Earned Captain's Award, Joe Rufus Spirit Award, and was Scout Team Player of the Year in 2010. 

PERSONAL: Son of Bryan and Ann McCarthy. Majoring in communication and minoring in marketing at SVC.
