HIGH SCHOOL:  Competed in both football and wrestling.  Was named Defensive Lineman of the Year and earned All-County honors in football, as well as Daytona Beach Player of the Week.  In wrestling, was named All-Area, and was a 5-Star Champion and District Champion in the heavyweight division.

PERSONAL:  Son of Sylvester and Garrette Covington.  Majoring in psychology.
