Biography
Co-captain of the men’s golf team, Sam is a math-engineering major. Sam was the 2011 President Athletic Conference Individual Champion and 2011-12 PAC MVP. He shot 68 during the first day of PAC in Fall 2011. Sam earned PAC Academic Honor Roll in 2011 and 2012, was named PAC Athlete of the Week on 4/16/12, and represented the PAC All-Conference first team in Fall 2011. Sam helped SVC earn 3rd place at Carnegie Mellon on 4/14-15/12 with at T1 finish (73-74). Sam carded 75-77 at Carnegie Mellon, 4/9-10/11, second for SVC and T14 overall.
A dual athlete in high school (golf and swimming), Sam was co-captain of the PIAA State Champion Latrobe High School golf team in 2009, shooting a top-15, 77-72 in the championship finals. Sam is a solid iron player and leads the team in scrambling percentage.
