Eddie Gillie joins the Saint Vincent men's and women's swimming programs as an assistant coach for the 2013-14 season.
A 2011 graduate of NCAA Division III Wheaton (MA), Gillie competed four years for the Lyons' swimming and diving team.
While with the Lyons, he broke three different school records (500 free, 200 fly, 800 free relay) and posted 12 top-10 times on the school's all-time list.
Prior to his arrival at Saint Vincent, Gillie gained several years of experience at various levels throughout the coaching ranks. He began his career with Magnus Aquatic Group in southern Massachusetts in 2009 before joining the Bluefish Swim Club.
Gillie spent the 2011-12 campaign in the Division III ranks at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While he was at MIT, both the men's and women's teams were among the top teams in the nation. Most recently, he assisted with Phoenix Swimming in Haverhill, MA.
A native of Haverhill, MA, Gillie earned his degree from Wheaton in Psychology.
