Biography

2021: Played in 14 games, with nine starts. Saw time both in the pitcher's circle and at first base. Finished the year with a 3-2 record in the circle. From the plate, she hit for .200 with one run and two hits. Recorded a fielding percentage of 1.000. Member of the PAC Academic Honor Roll.

2019: Named to the PAC All-Tournament Team. Saw time both in the pitcher's circle and at first base. Finished the season with a 5-5 record and an earned run average of 3.88. From the plate, Assalone hit for .353 with 27 runs batted in and scoring 19 runs. Hit her lone home run of the season in a 16-2 win over Bethany on April 24, when she drove in a season-high five runs. Allowed two runs on five hits in a complete game win over Pitt-Greensburg on March 18. Represented SVC on the PAC Sportsmanship Team.

2018: Named to the PAC All-Tournament Team. All-PAC Second Team selection. Put together a stellar freshman season, compiling a 9-2 record in the circle with a 2.66 earned run average. Ranked fourth in the PAC in ERA, third in runs allowed and tied for sixth in wins. Appeared in 13 games as a pitcher, making 12 starts, eight of which were complete games. Earned PAC wins over Geneva, Chatham, Waynesburg, Grove City, W&J and Bethany. Allowed just one run over seven innings of work in a 3-1 victory over Bethany College in a PAC Tournament Elimination Game on May 4. Recorded a season-high five strikeouts while picking up a victory in her collegiate debut against the College of Saint Elizabeth on March 4. At the plate, she hit .300 (3-for-10) with a double, four RBI and a run scored. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-sport athlete at Dubois Central Catholic. Played four years of softball and basketball, while also competing in soccer for three seasons. Earned First-Team All-State honors during her junior and senior seasons. AML All-Star pitcher all four seasons. She helped Dubois Central Catholic softball reach the PIAA playoffs three of her four seasons. As a freshman, helped lead the the Lady Cardinals to the the school’s first District 9 softball title in 33 years. Three-time AML All-Star in basketball and two-time AML All-Star in soccer.
 
PERSONAL: Daughter of Mark and Becky Assalone. Majoring in Psychology.
