Biography

2017: Named First Team All-ECAC South and First Team All-PAC. Finished her four-year career with her third straight First Team All-PAC honor and fourth straight all-league honor overall. She ranked fourth in the PAC in Earned Run Average (1.65), fourth in opposing batting average (.230), fourth in strikeouts (98), fourth in wins (15) and fifth in innings pitched (144.1). Finished her four-year career with a 53-28 record and a 1.45 ERA in the circle. The 53 wins are the most in a career for a Bearcat pitcher. Emert was named YWCA Sportswomen of the Year in April. The senior right-hander was named ECAC South Pitcher of the Week once and PAC Pitcher of the Week twice. Earned five straight wins from April 19 through 24. 

2016: Named PAC Player of the Year and PAC Tournament MVP honors. National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Central Region Second Team honoree. Also was a First-Team All-PAC Selection and was lauded as a NCAA All-Regional Tournament pick. Posted an 18-8 record in the circle with a 1.11 Earned Run Average (ERA), which established new single-season school records in both categories. Emert recorded 118 strikeouts over 27 appearances, also tossing eight shutouts. Opponents held a .198 batting average, which was the lowest opponents' batting average in the PAC. The junior pitcher tossed two shutouts in the PAC championship round over Bethany to earn PAC Tournament MVP honors. Emert worked all 37 innings in the tournament and put together a sparkling 0.57 earned run average, while pitching three shutouts and only allowing three earned runs in five games over the two days. Emert tossed a complete game shutout in a 2-0 upset win over #1 Virginia Wesleyan at the NCAA Regionals, where she also threw a one-hitter in a 1-0 loss to Haverford College. She was also named PAC Pitcher of the Week three times this spring. 

2015: All-PAC First Team Pitcher. NFCA All-Central Region Second Team Pitcher. ECAC South Second Team All-Star. Went 12-6 with a PAC best 1.25 ERA as a sophomore. Limited opponents to a .205 batting average, best among all qualifying PAC pitchers. Tossed four complete game shutouts in the circle. Put together a .314 batting average on offense, recording 10 multi-hit games. Ranked fourth on the team in home runs with three, including a go-ahead blast in a win over Thomas More. Recognized as PAC Pitcher of the Week on March 9 and April 20.

2014: Earned Honorable Mention All-PAC honors as a freshman, batting .337 in 35 starts.  Had 34 hits in 101 AB with 19 runs scored and 11 RBI.  Led the team with 10 sacrifices.  Only struck out 5 times in 120 plate appearances.  In the circle, posted an 8-7 record with a 2.27 ERA in 15 appearances (12 starts).  Struck out 49 batters in 80 innings against just 9 walks.  Held opponents to a .257 batting average and recorded 8 complete games.  Was named PAC Pitcher of the Week on March 24.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three sport athlete competing in Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. Played four years of softball...Named All-County MVP. Played four years of basketball…Thousand point scorer. Spent four years as a hitter for the volleyball team...Named Most Outstanding Female Athlete…Scholar Athlete.

PERSONAL: Daughter of John and Kathleen Emert. Majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology at SVC.
