Biography
2024-25: Earned All-AMCC First Team honors, finishing second on the team in average (186.7). Led the team in strike percentage (43.4) and frames bowled (1113). Named to the All-Tournament Team at the Grapevine Classic (Oct 12-13), finishing second with a 194.4 average. Led the team in the first AMCC Round Robin (Nov 17) with a 224 average, with 55% strikes for the two-day event. Finished 16th in a field of more than 200 bowlers in the Tier 1 Collegiate Shoot-Out in Las Vegas (Dec 20) with a five-game total of 998 pins. Averaged 199 in the AMCC Championships. Named an AMCC Sportsmanship Award winner for the 2024-25 season.
2023-24: Earned AMCC Second Team honors, and finished third on the team in average (178.4), while leading the team in strike percentage for the season (38.0). Started her collegiate career with an average of 207 in her first day of competition at the Grapevine Classic (Oct 14-15), including a 234 game. Named to the All-Tournament Team at the Red Flash Invitational (Jan 26-28) with an average of 192.8, including a 256 game against Mount Aloysius. Named AMCC Player of the Week for the week ending 1/28/24. Led all bowlers with a 190.2 average in the AMCC Round Robin #2 (Feb 2-4), including a high game of 253. Named AMCC Player of the Week for the week ending 2/4, her second straight weekly honor.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-sport athlete at East Allegheny HS, competing in softball, volleyball, and bowling. In bowling, made the state HS tournament twice, nationals once, and was the MVP of the section twice as well. Has one career 300 game. Was a member of the academic High Honor Roll and also earned the athletic award. The daughter of Chris and Tina Nicholls, she is majoring in Criminal Justice at SVC.
