Biography
2018: Appeared in 15 games, splitting time between goalie and midfield. Compiled a 2-5 record in net, earning a shutout in a 1-0 road win over Marietta in the season opener on Aug. 31. Made a season-high 11 saves in a 1-0 loss to Westminster on Oct. 13. Recorded the first two goals of her collegiate career when she moved to the field, including the game-winner against Hilbert on Sept. 15.Â
2017: Started all 16 games in which she appeared. Recorded 89 saves, ranking as fourth most in the PAC. Recorded a season-high 12 saves in a 1-0 overtime loss at Pitt-Bradford on Sept. 19. Also recorded 10 saves each in PAC road losses to Geneva and Grove City. Recorded shutouts in home contests against Hilbert and Bethany.Â
2016: Earned All-PAC Honorable Mention honors. Appeared in 13 contests as a sophomore. After being limited early in the season because of a return from an injury, the sophomore allowed just four goals in 490 plus minutes of work in net. Was a 2-0-3 record after appearing in 10 contests, including eight PAC games. Put together a 0.73 goals against average and a .882 save percentage. Held opponents scoreless in seven of the 10 games she appeared in. Did not allow a goal in her last 213 minutes in net this season.Â
2015: Named Second-Team All-PAC by the league's head coaches. Served as the primary goalkeeper as a freshman, starting 16 games. Put together a 7-9 record in net, making 110 saves and holding a 1.91 goals against average. Posted shutouts over Marietta, Hilbert and Thiel. Recorded double-digit saves in four contests, including 16 against perennial PAC power Thomas More on October 4. Was recognized as the PAC Goalie/Defender of the Week on Sept. 21 after posting shutouts over Marietta and Hilbert the same week.
HIGH SCHOOL: Three sport athlete at Smithsburg High School, participating in soccer, lacrosse and track. Three-time All-Conference in soccer. Also earned All-State honors and was named First-Team All-County. Strong academically as well, earning faculty honors and appeared on the honor roll three times.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Sean and Donna Burk. Majoring in Mathematics and Secondary Education at Saint Vincent. Also a member of the Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team.
