Graduate of Elyria Catholic High School... two-sport athlete at Elyria Catholic, competing in cross country and track and field, both for three years... earned three varsity letters in cross country, while also being a two-year regional qualifier (3200m-run) in track, and a state qualifier in the 4x800 relay in indoor track... academically, she was a member of the High Honor Roll and National Honors Society in high school... daughter of Daniel and Karen Schemmel, majoring in criminology.
