Taylor Jones was hired on July 1, 2026 to be the new Graduate Assistant Coach for women's soccer.
Jones joins the Saint Vincent College women's soccer program after a distinguished four-year playing career at Westminster College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Special Education in this past May.
A standout defender for the Titans, Jones appeared in 63 career matches with 51 starts on defense, logging 4,113 minutes on the pitch from 2022-26. She was recognized for her leadership and sportsmanship by earning a spot on the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Team. She was a member of the Titans 2022 PAC Championship team as well.
In addition to her playing career, Jones has gained valuable coaching experience as a Volunteer Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Penn-Trafford High School since 2024. In that role, she assisted with planning and conducting practices and matches while mentoring student-athletes in teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Throughout her impressive high school career at Penn-Trafford, Jones played for Beadling SC as well.
Jones has built an extensive background in education and student development through several professional experiences. She most recently served as a substitute teacher in the Penn-Trafford School District, where she provided instruction across multiple grade levels and adapts lessons to meet diverse learning needs. She also served as an Extended School Year Support Aide, working closely with students with individualized education plans (IEPs), and spent more than two years as a one-on-one care professional, supporting a child with Down syndrome through individualized academic instruction and life skills development.
During her senior year at Westminster, Jones completed student teaching placements at Mercer Elementary School and Mercer Junior/Senior High School. Throughout both experiences, she designed and implemented engaging lesson plans, differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, and volunteered with after-school programs including Girls on the Run and Kids of Steel.
A dedicated campus leader and community volunteer, Jones served as President of Westminster's Council for Exceptional Children, leading initiatives that promote inclusive education while organizing events across the college, local community, and Special Olympics programs. She also served as a liaison between Westminster College and Special Olympics Lawrence County, where she organizes and leads basketball, track and field, and swimming events that encourage athletic participation for individuals with disabilities.
Outside of athletics and education, Jones was actively involved in campus life as Alpha Gamma Delta's Event Director, a Titan Guide for prospective students, and a Dean's List honoree.
