Saint Vincent junior midfielder Alec Richard led the Bearcat offense in a pair of wins, totaling five goals and two assists. In Wednesday's season-opening win at Juniata, Richard scored two goals with one assist, while also adding one ground ball. In Saturday's comeback win at Mount Union, Richard tallied a four-point day, with three goals and one helper, along with five ground balls. He scored the game's first goal at Mount Union, before adding an important insurance tally midway through the fourth quarter that gave SVC a 6-4 lead en route to the 7-5 win.
