The Lady Bearcat tennis team overpowered Penn State-Altoona, cruising to a 7-2 victory on the SVC campus courts.

Saint Vincent swept all three doubles matches, with the duos of Alexis Cup/Nicole Peer, Amanda Gans/Kaitlin Wolz and Emily Morris/Megan Mahoney all posting victories.  For Mahoney, it was a successful return to the court after missing several weeks due to injury.

In singles, SVC won five matches.  Jessa Paruch was a winner in the #1 position, while Jessica Murtha (#4) Janelle Giunta (#5) and Lila Eid (#6) all recorded wins.  The Lady Bearcats only two losses of the day, Stephanie Rubin (#2 singles) and Chantal Mitchell (#3) each went to a tie-breaker.

With the non-conference win, the Lady Bearcats are now 11-3 on the season.  The team's next event will be against Waynesburg University at home tomorrow at 3:30.
