SVC earns first victory of season

The Bearcat men picked up their first win of the year, defeating Bethany College on the road by a score of 110-90.

SVC opened the afternoon with a win in the 200 Medley Relay, with the team of Kyle Anderson, Adam Hodnichak, Matt Snelick and Troy Linebaugh earning the victory.

Casey Whittaker was a three-time winner on the day, taking first in the 100 Back, 200 Back and the 100 Fly.  Snelick was second in the 100 Fly, and won the 200 Fly.  Dan Kostovny was second in the 200 Fly.  Kreighton Long was a two-time winner on the day, picking up victories in the 1000 Free and the 200 Breast.

Linebaugh was a winner in the 50 Free, with teammates Adam Thomas and Logan Dorminey finishing second and third, respectively.  Both Thomas and Dorminey also were winners on the day, with Thomas winning the 200 IM and Dorminey capturing the 100 Breast.  Hodnichak earned the win in the 500 Free.

Zack Krejdovsky took second in the 200 Free, while Kostovny was second in the 100 Free.

The SVC 400 Free Relay team of Kostovny, Snelick, Thomas and Whittaker closed the day with a victory as well.

Saint Vincent returns home on Saturday to host West Virginia Wesleyan at 1:00.
