The Bearcats closed out the home portion of their 2009-10 season with a 140-101 defeat to Westminster College at the Resnik Pool.
Casey Whittaker led the way for the Bearcats, with a pair of individual victories in butterfly events, taking first in both the 100 and 200 yard races.
Whittaker was also part of a pair of third-place relay squads, including the 200 Medley (with
Adam Thomas,
Troy Linebaugh, and
Matt Snelick) and the 400 Free (with Thomas, Linebaugh, and
Logan Dorminey).
Snelick earned a second-place finish in the 100 Breaststroke, while Thomas touched second in the 200 Back and Linebaugh in the 50 Free.
Third-place performances for the Bearcats included
Kreighton Long in the 1000 Free, Dorminey in the 100 Free,
Dan Kostovny in the 200 Breaststroke, and
Adam Hodnichak in the 500 Free.
The Bearcats (1-8) will return to action next Saturday afternoon, traveling to Chatham University to take on Penn State-Altoona beginning at 1:00.
