FULL RESULTS
In a meet not decided until the final two events of the day, the Mount Union Raiders defeated Saint Vincent 141-120 in non-conference swimming action at the Resnik Pool.
The Bearcats trailed just 114-112 heading into the day's next-to-last event, but the Raiders answered by recording 27 points in the 200 Individual Medley and 200 Free Relay to leave Latrobe with the win.
Casey Whittaker and Dan Kostovny led the way individually for the Bearcats, each picking up a pair of victories. Whittaker took first in both the 200 Fly (2:07.15) and 100 Fly (55.46), while Kostovny captured wins in the 100 Breast (1:05.31) and 200 Breast (2:22.08).
Whittaker also added a second place finish in the 100 Free, timed in 51.73, while he and Kostovny teamed with Tom Nielsen and Matt Linebaugh to finish second in the 200 Medley Relay.
The Bearcats recorded a host of second-place times on the afternoon. Zack Krejdovsky touched second in the 1000 Free (10:37.06), Adam Thomas the 200 Back (2:10.55), Logan Dorminey the 200 Free (1:53.96), Tom Nielsen the 100 Back (58.20), and Sam Cline in both the 500 Free (5:17.45) and 200 Individual Medley (2:09.30).
Saint Vincent's 200 Free Relay squad also took second, as the foursome of Nielsen, Linebaugh, Dorminey, and Thomas recording a time of 1:32.22.
The Bearcats will now have a three-week hiatus over winter break, returning to action on January 8th, hosting Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Washington & Jefferson at the Resnik Pool beginning at 1pm.
