The Lady Bearcats split a pair of home matches, moving their season record to a solid 4-1.

In the morning opener against a first-year Thiel College program, Saint Vincent won by a score of 9-0. Winning in singles were Alexis Cup, Jessa Paruch, Amanda Gans, Emily Morris, Nicole Peer and Stephanie Rubin.

Doubles winners the teams of Cup/Peer, Gans/Kaitlin Wolz, and Megan Mahoney/Morris.

The afternoon matchup against Catholic was a thriller, with the day ultimately being decided by just one point. Catholic ended up outscoring Saint Vincent 5-4. SVC's lone doubles winners were the team of Cup and Peer at #1.

Paruch was a winner at #2 singles, while Gans won her #3 singles match. Wolz, playing at #6, went to a third-set tiebreaker and won her singles match as well.

Saint Vincent will return to action on Friday afternoon in Ohio, facing Mount Union College.
