WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 11) - The Saint Vincent tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win at Waynesburg in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
The Bearcats began the match with a sweep of doubles play as senior

Amanda Gans earned an 8-2 win over Alyssa Daniel and Rebeka Reyes. At the second position, freshman
Morgan Dolinar and senior
Jessa Paruch claimed an 8-3 victory against Kelsey Diesel and Markie Gustafson. SVC rounded out doubles play when junior
Stephanie Rubin and senior
Emily Morris posted a win over Ellen Limback and Madison DuBrock, 8-5.
In singles play, Cup blanked Reyes, 6-0, 6-0, at the first position while PAC Athlete of the Week Gans topped Gustafson, 6-2, 6-1 at second singles. Dolinar claimed a 6-3, 6-2 win over Daniel at the third position, while Rubin won the match of the day over Limback, 7-5, 4-6, 11-9. Morris defeated Diesel, 6-3, 6-0, and junior
Jessica McKetta earned a 6-3, 6-1 win over DuBrock to round out the match.
With the win, SVC improves to 14-3 on the season and 6-2 in the PAC, having won its last four conference matches by a total margin of 35-1. Waynesburg falls to 3-10 on the season and 3-6 in league play.
The Bearcats return to action next Monday, Oct. 17 when they host Chatham in a PAC match at 3:30 p.m., in the final tune-up on the season before the league championships on Oct. 21-22.
