The Saint Vincent women's tennis team defeated Division-II Clarion University on the road in a close match, 5-4.

The #1 doubles team of Alexis Cup and Amanda Gans went to a tiebreaker before earning a 9-8 victory.  It was Saint Vincent's only doubles win.

In singles, Gans (#2), Morgan Dolinar (#3) and Jessa Paruch (#5) all won their singles matches in straight sets, to tie the match, 4-4.

The last match on the court -- the deciding match -- was at the #6 singles position.  SVC's Kylie Auman lost the first set 6-3 but came back to win the next two, 6-2 and 6-1, to give the Bearcats the win.

SVC is now 12-3 on the season, and will return to conference action on Saturday, hosting Thomas More College as part of Homecoming Weekend.  The match will begin at 11AM on the SVC Courts.

UPDATE:  The Thomas More match has been moved to 10AM on Saturday.
