FULL RESULTS

ALLIANCE, Ohio (Nov. 9) - The Saint Vincent swimming teams were swept at Mount Union (Ohio) in a non-conference meet with the women falling, 142-120, and the men downed, 163-90.

Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week Alyssa Taylor captured victories in the 1000 free and 200 butterfly with times of 11:21.71 and 2:16.06. In the 200 medley relay, the team of Jess Smrekar, Christine Dunleavy, Taylor and Maggie Dempsey finished in 1:56.84 to earn the victory. Dunleavy would later win the 100 fly with a time of 1:10.09.

On the men's side, Zach Ligus posted a time of 2:03.96 to win the 200 IM. The Bearcats also earned a win in the 200 free relay as the team of Matt Linebaugh, Logan Dorminey, PAC Men's Swimmer of the Week Joe Woodman and Ligus touched the wall in 1:33.07.

SVC returns to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, when they travel to Washington & Jefferson for a PAC meet.
