The Saint Vincent women's tennis team opened its Spring schedule with an 8-1 victory over Mount Aloysius College.

SVC won all three doubles matches:  Amanda Gans and Stephanie Rubin were 8-4 winners in the #1 position, Emily Morris and Jessica McKetta won the #2 match, 8-0, while Rebecca Cronauer and Megan Mahoney were 8-1 victors in the #3 match.

In singles, all matches were played as pro-style single sets.  SVC won five of six.  Gans (#2) was a 10-0 winner, as was Morris (#3).  In the #4 position, Chantal Mitchell was an 8-2 winner in a shortened match.  Janelle Giunta was a 10-8 winner at #5 singles, and Hope Swain won 10-0 in the #6 spot.

SVC improves to 14-4 officially on the 2010-11 season, and will play two additional matches this Spring, against St. John Fisher and York College (PA).  Both of those matches will take place during the team's Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, SC.
