LATROBE (April 26) - The Saint Vincent women's tennis team downed NCAA Division II Seton Hill in a warm-up match for the NCAA Tournament, 5-4, at the SVC Courts.
In doubles, SVC took two of three matches with
Amanda Gans and
Shayla Landman posting an 8-5 win at first doubles and
Jessica McKetta and
Kylie Auman securing an 8-1 win at third doubles.
In singles action, the two teams split the six match-ups.
Stephanie Rubin earned a third singles win 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. McKetta and Auman both posted big wins at fifth and sixth singles, respectively. McKetta blanked her fifth singles opponent, 6-0, 6-0, while Auman posted a 6-1, 6-2 win at the sixth singles position.
Gans suffered a 6-2, 6-0 set back at first singles, with Landman playing an intense match at second singles, falling 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-3). Jacqueline Hauser dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision at fourth singles.
