NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 10) - The Saint Vincent women's soccer team battled for nearly 100 minutes with unbeaten Westminster College before falling 1-0 on the turf at Harold Burry Stadium.
The setback drops SVC to 1-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference and 5-7 overall. The host Titans improved to 10-0-1 overall and 2-0 in the league.
Both teams played scoreless for the regulation 90 minutes before heading to overtime. Westminster got a goal from Gretchen Schwarz in the 97th minute of play to gain victory.
SVC was outshot 25-4 in the contest, including a 10-3 edge in shots on goal for Westminster.

Corinne Burk again put together a solid performance, making nine saves in the loss.

Natalie Luppold led the Bearcats' offense with two shots.
Saint Vincent returns home for a PAC contest with Bethany College on Wednesday, Oct. 14. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
