GROVE CITY, Pa. (Oct. 17) - The Saint Vincent men's soccer suffered a 7-0 defeat at Grove City in Presidents' Athletic Conference play.
The host Wolverines scored three goals in the first half and added four in the second half for the victory.
Grove City held a decisive 39-7 advantage in shots, including a 20-4 edge in shots on goal. The Wolverines also held a 7-2 margin in corner kicks.
Seth Loew, one of the PACs top scorers, tallied two goals and two assists for GCC.
Senior
Jon White made 13 saves for SVC in the loss. Freshmen
Zachary D'Amico and
Lionel Whitcombe each managed two shots to lead the SVC offense.
The loss drops SVC to 1-13-2 overall and 0-4-1 in the PAC. Meanwhile, Grove City improves to 9-4-1 overall and 4-1 in the league.
The Bearcats return to action at home against Waynesburg University for Senior Day on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
