FULL RESULTSYORK, Pa. (Nov. 7) - The Saint Vincent men's swimming team took part in the York College quad meet. The Bearcats defeated York 108-96 and St. Mary's (MD) 103-99 and falling to Ursinus (115-89).
Freshman
Jacob Davis, the reigning PAC Men's Swimmer of the Week, performed well once again. Davis finished in first place in the 50 Free, with a time of 21.96. The freshman also took the top spot in the 100 Free, with a pool record time of 48.17. Davis was also part of the winning 400 Free Relay team, that put together a pool record time of 3:16.40.
Xander Emili,
Matt Tashima and
Alex Bolen joined Davis on the team.
Emili also had a good day individually, taking first in the 200 IM and 200 Butterfly events. Emili finished in 2:04.29 in the IM, more than two seconds ahead of the next competitor. Meanwhile, Emili had a time of 2:00.87 in the Fly.
Adam Gordish came in fourth place in the 200 Back, with a time of 2:05.92.
Matt Crum had a time of 10:40.32 to finish in fourth place in the 1000 free event. Bolen finished fifth in the 500 Free, clocking in at 5:07.81.
Brian Flynn came in eighth place in the 500 Free event, at 1:54.73.
The 400 Medley Relay team came in fourth place, with a time of 3:50.10. The team consisted of Gordish, Tashima,
Michael Marinchak and
Alek Kraft.
Saint Vincent sits at 4-1 overall for the season. The Bearcats return to competition with the Franklin & Marshall Invitational on Friday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 22.
