FULL RESULTSYORK, Pa. (Nov. 7) - The Saint Vincent women's swimming team competed at the York College quad meet. SVC beat York 124-78 and St. Mary's (MD) 135-68 but dropped a 129-75 decision to Ursinus College.
The Bearcats took first in the 400 Free Relay, with a pool record time of 3:41.15, taking first by less than a second. The relay team was made up of
Maddie Bartrug,
Cassie Trudel,
Ciara Lewis and
Marissa Frollo. SVC finished in the 400 Medley Relay, timing in at 4:12.30. The quartet consisted of
Grace Reynolds,
Kat Guevara, Trudel and Lewis.
Individually,
Kelly Kramer took first place in the 200 Back, touching the wall at 2:17.37. Frollo (25.21) and Trudel (26.11) took second and third respectively in the 50 Free.
Samantha Mears (26.71) added a six-place finish to give SVC three of the top six in the event.
SVC took three of the top five spots in the 200 Breaststroke. Kramer was third at 2:36.12, while Reynolds timed in at 2:36.66.
Gabby Bobak rounded out the top five in the event, with a time of 2:40.32.
Bartrug put together a strong performance in the 500 Free, coming in at 5:15.91. Meanwhile, Guevara was fifth in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:20.18.
Jill Cline and
Amanda Gretz competed in the 1000 Free, with Cline taking sixth place (12:18.57) and Gretz coming in at 12:23.55.
The SVC women now hold a 3-2 record overall. They return to action at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational on Friday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 22.
