The La Roche College Redhawks defeated the SVC women's soccer team by a score of 3-1 in Pittsburgh's North Hills.
The hosts tallied the game's first goal just under six minutes into play, as Vanessa Ceravolo scored off a corner kick. Ceravolo added a second goal in the 25th minute, and La Roche carried a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
Ceravolo completed the hat trick just under five minutes into the second half on a header, making it 3-0.
The lone Bearcat goal was set up by
Natalie Luppold, who stole a La Roche pass and connected with
Meghan Smith, who scored from the top of the 18 yard box to make it 3-1.
La Roche (2-0) held a 12-8 advantage in shots for the day, and SVC's
Corinne Burk had four saves in the net.
The Bearcats are now 1-3 on the season and will travel to Ohio on Sunday for a 2PM game at the College of Wooster.
