WOOSTER, Ohio (Sept. 13) - A hat trick by Lissette Torres helped guide Wooster to a 4-0 win over the Saint Vincent College women's soccer team at Carl Dale Field in Ohio.
With the loss, SVC drops to 1-4 on the season. Wooster improved to 4-1-1 overall with the victory.
After hanging tough the majority of the first half, Saint Vincent allowed a pair of goals late in the half by Torres gave the Fightin Scots a 2-0 halftime advantage. Torres then added another in 63rd minute to gain the hat trick and make it 3-0 Scots. Wooster would close out the scoring with a goal in the 70th minute of action.
Wooster outshot SVC 25-10 in the match, including a 12-4 edge in shots on goal.

Corinne Burk played all 90 minutes in net, making eight saves in the loss.

Emily Johns led the offense with five shots.
Saint Vincent returns to action Tuesday, Sept. 15 when they host Marietta College. The Bearcats' home opener is set for a 4 p.m. start.Â
