Bearcats push winning streak to three after road win

MUSKINGUM, Ohio (Sept. 26) - The Saint Vincent women's soccer team overcame a halftime deficit to earn a 2-1 victory at Muskingum University.

The victory was the third straight for SVC and improved their overall record to 4-4. Muskingum dropped to 1-7-1 in 2015.

After allowing a goal in the 37th minute, the homestanding Muskies took a 1-0 advantage into the halftime break. However, Saint Vincent would rally in the second half.

Sophomore Maggie Nelson knotted the score at 1-1 with a goal in the 54th minute, off an assist from freshman Natalie Luppold.

Freshman Calsey Holshue picked a great time for her first collegiate goal, scoring the go-ahead score in the 79th minute. Holshue scored off a long pass from senior Meghan Smith.

Saint Vincent outshot Muskingum 22-10, including a 15-2 advantage in the second half.
