The Saint Vincent men's soccer team dropped the opening game of the Defiance College Tournament in Ohio, falling to the College of Wooster by a score of 4-1.

With the loss, SVC is now 0-2 on the season.

Kevin Proctor scored the lone SVC goal on the team's only shot on goal of the afternoon, an unassisted tally in the 67th minute.

The Bearcat defense was strong throughout much of the first half, yielding only one goal, in the 19th minute.  With the game tied 1-1, the Fighting Scots scored in the 78th minute, then added a pair of late goals to seal the win.

Wooster outshot SVC by a 22-3 margin on the day, with a 13-1 edge in shots on goal.  SVC's Jon White made 9 saves in the net.

The Bearcats will face host Defiance on Sunday (September 6) at 1PM.
