The Saint Vincent women's basketball team concluded the regular season with a 94-46 loss on the road to Thomas More, the #1-ranked team in the nation.

On Senior Day at Thomas More, it was all Sydney Moss, the reigning national player of the year, in the early going.  Moss tallied 11 points in the opening four minutes, leading the Saints to a 13-2 advantage.
 
At the 3:02 mark of the first, another three from Moss ran the lead to 21-4, and the basket put Moss at the top of the list as the leading scorer in Presidents' Athletic Conference history with 2,087 points, achieved in just her third season. By the end of the first, SVC was down 28-8. 
 
After the Saints scored the first 8 points of the second quarter, Hannah Carroll hit back-to-back three pointers, and the Bearcats matched the Saints in scoring for the quarter, trailing 50-30 at the half.  Moss tallied 24 points in the opening 20 minutes. 
 
The Saints (25-0) were again dominant in the third quarter, outscoring the Bearcats 28-9 to extend the lead to 78-39 and finished the game with a 48-point advantage.

Moss led all scorers with 30 points.  Hannah Carroll had 9 for the Bearcats, while Susie Ellis added 8.  Katie Ryan and Brittany Beckwith each had 4 rebounds for SVC.  

The Bearcats, previously locked into the #5 seed in the conference tournament, finish the regular season with an overall mark of 13-12, 8-10 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.  The team will face the #8 seed, Bethany College, on Monday night at 7PM in the Carey Center. The Bison swept the regular season from SVC. However, Bethany dropped the final eight games of the regular season. The other first round matchup has #6 Chatham hosting #7 Geneva.
