The Saint Vincent women's soccer suffered their third straight loss, falling 2-0 on the road at Hilbert College in Hamburg, New York.
 
The hosting Hilbert Hawks scored the only two goals of the contest, one in each half of play. The first came during the 15th minute of play, when Jennifer Colvin found the net off a pass from Jackie Morgan. The goal was the fourth of the season for Colvin.
 
The next score came much later in the contest. In the 79th minute, Morgan, who had the assist on the first Hilbert goal, got one of her own assisted by Shannon Rogers. Morgan's score was her first of the season.
 
Although Saint Vincent failed to score, the Bearcats put up a solid effort, leading the contest in shots by a 16-13 margin, including a 7-6 advantage on goal. Among all of Saint Vincent's scoring opportunities, one that stands out is a shot off the foot of Maggie Nelson that hit the post. Hilbert goalkeeper, Jenna Castricone made it hard for the Bearcats all afternoon, saving all seven shots put on net in her 90 minutes of play.
 
For the Bearcats, goalkeeper Melissa McCarthy stopped four shots of the six on goal throughout 90 minutes in net.
 
Saint Vincent falls to 1-3-1 on the 2016 season and will return home to play their next contest against Carlow University on September 21. Start time is scheduled for 5pm.
