The SVC women's tennis team defeated visiting Pitt-Greensburg by a score of 7-2 at the SVC Courts.

The Bearcats opened a 3-0 lead after doubles play, with the teams of Susie Ellis/Lucy Bujdos, Breana Liberoni/Autumn Miller and Maria Gismondi/Anita Onufer all posting wins.  

In singles play, SVC picked up victories in positions 2-5.  Claudia Clemens was a straight set winner in #2 singles.  At the #3 position, Carson Snyder won the first set but lost the second, then bounced back for a 10-3 win in the tiebreaker.

Livia Wentworth was a 6-4, 7-5 winner at the #4 position, and Lisa Marthens won her #5 matchup, 6-4, 6-2.  

Saint Vincent is now 2-0 on the season and will open Presidents' Athletic Conference play on September 8, hosting Bethany College at 3:30.
