Thomas More College defeated Saint Vincent by a score of 4-1 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup on the SVC Turf.
The Bearcats scored first, when
Ian Garay hit a rocket just under the crossbar from 20 yards out, putting SVC in front 1-0 in the 19th minute.  However, the Saints added a pair of goals later in the first half to take 2-1 lead into the break.
The second half turned into a physical battle. Â Neither team had a shot in the first 11 minutes of play, but the Saints got back on the board thanks to an own goal by the Bearcats in the 60th minute.
Thomas More added a late goal to make it 4-1.
The Bearcats were outshot 22-6 for the day.
SVC is now 0-4 in the PAC, 3-10-1 overall. Â The Saints are now 4-0 in the conference, 9-4-1 overall. Â Next up for the Bearcats will be a 3-game road swing, first taking on Westminster on Saturday (October 14) at 6:30PM.
