GROVE CITY, Pa. (Oct. 25) - Four second half goals powered Grove City to a 5-0 victory over the Saint Vincent women's soccer team in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at College Field in Mercer County.
The host Wolverines tallied their initial goal of the contest in the 16th minute, scoring on a header from Lindsay Hutton off of a corner kick. GCC would continue to hold a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
Grove City would double its lead when Hutton scored off another corner kick in the 56th minute to make it 2-0. Just a little more than two minutes later GCC made it 3-0 in the 58th minute. The hosts would add two more goals, one in the 66th minute and a final score in the 79th minute of action to close the scoring.
The Wolverines held a 29-8 shot advantage over SVC, including a 15-6 edge in shots on goal. The Wolverines attempted 11 corner kicks to just two for the Bearcats.

Corinne Burk made 10 saves over 90 minutes of work in net for SVC. Juniors
Calsey Holshue and
Natalie Luppold each recorded two shots offensively for the Bearcats.
The loss moves Saint Vincent to 1-14-1 overall and 1-7 in PAC play. Grove City improves to 13-4 overall and 7-1 in PAC play to remain tied for first place.
Saint Vincent closes the season when it hosts Bethany College for Senior Day on Sunday, Oct. 29. Start time is slated for 1 p.m. The Bearcats will honor
