LATROBE, Pa. (Oct. 8) - The Saint Vincent men's soccer team lost 2-0 to visiting Thiel College in Presidents' Athletic Conference play on an overcast afternoon at the SVC turf.
Hunter Young scored off of a pass from Josh Evjene in the 29th minute to give the Tomcats a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. Evjene would then tack on an unassisted score in the 69th minute of action to give Thiel an insurance goal en route to the victory.
Saint Vincent held an 18-15 advantage in shots, but Thiel edged SVC 10-8 in shots on goal. SVC held a slight advantage in corner kicks (6-5) over the Tomcats. Thiel committed 16 fouls to 10 for Saint Vincent in the game.

Nick Gaudy led the Bearcats with four shots, while junior
Zach D'Amico registered three shots. Senior goalkeeper
James Antonoplos recorded eight saves in 90 minutes of action in net.
The loss drops SVC to 0-3 in PAC play and 3-9-1 overall. The Tomcats improve to 1-0-1 in league action and 4-5-1 overall.
Saint Vincent returns to action when they host Thomas More College on Thursday, Oct. 12. Start time is set for 2 p.m.
