Eleven different players scored at least one goal as the Bearcats earned an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference win over Waynesburg University, 17-8.

Julianne Rosa, Katie Stallings and Maggie Nelson each scored three times to lead the scoresheet.  For Nelson, her second goal of the day established a new Saint Vincent record for points in a career.  She now has 244 points and is only in her junior season.

The visiting Yellow Jackets got on the board just under two minutes into the game, but SVC came right back with goals from Courtney Kloos and Kami Davis to take the lead.  Nelson's first goal increased the lead to 3-1 before Waynesburg scored at the 23:01 mark to make the score 3-2.

However, the hosts received goals from Rachel Belles, Nelson, Hannah Carroll and Payton Knupp to extend the lead to 7-2 near the midway point of the first half.  For Knupp, it was her first collegiate goal.

The Bearcats took a 10-5 lead into the halftime break, and Rosa's second goal of the game opened scoring in the second half.  Stallings, who had tallied one goal in the first half, added back-to-back goals in the second half, seven minutes apart, that increased the lead to 15-6.  Calsey Holshue's second goal of the season ending the scoring with just under two minutes to play.

Maria Franey picked up the win in the net, facing 23 shots and making 12 saves.  Christina Bauer took the loss for Waynesburg made 16 saves in defeat for Waynesburg.

SVC is now 7-3 overall, 3-1 in the ORLC.  Waynesburg falls to 0-10, 0-5 in the conference.  The Bearcats return to action next Wednesday, April 19 hosting W&J at 4PM.
