McDaniel College scored three second half goals to break a scoreless halftime tie, defeating Saint Vincent by a score of 3-1.

The Bearcat defense played well in the first half, as starting goalkeeper James Antonoplos faced 11 shots and made five saves.  The SVC offense managed just four shots in the first 45 minutes.  

In the second half, McDaniel got on the board in the 53rd minute as Drake Pew scored off a rebound past SVC keeper Nick Bohn to make it 1-0.

The visitors added goals in the 62nd and 81st minutes to increase the lead to 3-0.  

With just under 5 minutes remaining, a McDaniel defender was called for a handball inside the 18-yard box, resulting in a penalty kick.  Josh Kucmeroski sent the kick into the lower right corner of the net for the lone Bearcat goal of the day.

SVC is now 1-1 overall, while McDaniel improves to 2-0.

The Bearcats return to action on Tuesday, September 5, hosting Juniata College on the SVC Turf at 4PM.
