SVC men drop road match to Hood, 2-0


FREDERICK, Md. (Sept. 23) - The Saint Vincent men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision on the road to Hood College in non-conference action. 

Hood scored in the 44th minute to take a 1-0 halftime lead. The host Blazers added an insurance score in the 68th minute on their way to victory. 

Saint Vincent was led by goalkeeper James Antonoplos, who recorded six saves in the loss. Jack Bethune registered the lone shot for the Bearcats. 

SVC drops to 3-5-1 overall while Hood moves to 6-3 in 2017. 

The Bearcats return to action with their final non-conference game of the season on Monday, Sept. 25 against Mount Aloysius College. Start time at the SVC Turf is scheduled for 4 p.m.
