STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (Sept. 26) - The Saint Vincent women's team fell 6-3 on the road in non-conference action to Franciscan University in Ohio. 

Junior Lucy Bujdos was a bright spot in the loss, picking up a 6-4, 6-4 victory at first singles over Madelyn Conrad. Bujdos also teamed with classmate Autumn Miller for an easy 8-2 win at first doubles over the Barons' top tandem. 

Sophomore Claudia Clemens secured the other victory for SVC, winning in straight sets (6-1, 6-4) at third singles over Grace Hammel. 

The loss drops SVC to 5-4 overall, while Franciscan improves to 6-4 in 2017. 

Saint Vincent travels to Juniata College for a non-conference road match on Thursday, Sept. 28. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
