LATROBE, Pa. (Oct. 17) - Two second half goals helped visiting Washington & Jefferson College finish off Saint Vincent by a 4-1 margin in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at UPMC Field.

The Presidents opened strong, tallying an early goal by Julie Halula in the 5th minute of play, to take a 1-0 advantage. W&J tacked on another goal in the 21st minute, when Katie Hahn deflected a shot off the post and in to make it 2-0.

Saint Vincent would cut its deficit in half just before halftime, as Leah Memmo set up a Kristin Marsh goal off of a corner kick in the 43rd minute. The goal was the 8th of the season for Marsh, while Memmo picked up her team-leading fifth assist of the season.

W&J would seal the victory with a pair of second half goals. The Presidents answered with a goal by Hannah Johnston in the 53rd minute before Chandler Marteeny closed the scoring with a score in the 69th minute of play. The four goals were a single-game season-high for W&J.

For the game, W&J held advantages over SVC in shots (18-10) and shots on goal (11-6). The Bearcats recorded more corner kicks (3-1) and goalkeeper saves (7-5) than the Presidents.

Marsh paced the offense with four shots, three of which were on goal. Maddy Mihalchik tallied three shots off of the SVC bench.
