FULL RESULTS

The Saint Vincent women's swimming team finished the season with a 7-1 overall record with a dual meet victory over Penn State Behrend with a score of 156-88 in non-conference competition.
The women started off the meet strong with a first place finish in the 200 Medley Relay. The quartet of
Kelly Kramer,
Carly Grove,
Marion D'Aurora, and
Sarah Sheldon clocked in at 1:58.85.
Maddie Bartrug had the performance of the day winning all three of her individual races. The junior broke the school record in the 1000 Free, with a time of 11:00.99. She also won the 50 Free, touching the wall at 25.97. Bartrug finished up her individual portion with the 100 Fly, clocking in at 1:02.63.
Ciara Lewis took top honors in the 100 Breaststroke, with a time of 1:15.50. The junior also won the 200 Backstroke, clocking in at 2:20.04.
In the 200 Free, D'Aurora came in first place, with a time of 2:01.45.
Gianna Boburka took top honors in the 500 Free, clocking in at 5:48.28.
Nicolette Smith and
Jill Cline took first and second in the 200 Butterfly, clocking in at 2:29.31 and 2:36.74, respectively.
The Bearcats swept the 200 Breaststroke. Kramer took first with a time of 2:31.40,
Skylar Piper finished second at 2:52.29 and
Judith Anne Purdy was third, touching the wall at 2:57.56.
The women finished up the meet with the top time in the 200 Free Relay. The quartet of Bartrug, Kramer,
Claire Kenna, and Lewis finished with a time of 1:41.92.
The Bearcat men dropped a close decision, falling by a 142-138 score to the host Lions.
The quartet of
Adam Gordish,
John Martin,
Zach Baum, and
Alex Bolen took top honors in the 200 Medley Relay, clocking in at 1:37.97.
Bolen claimed the top spot in the 200 Free, out-touching his opponent by .1, with a time of 1:46.92. The senior also won the 400 Individual Medley, posting a time of 4:25.61.
Jacob Davis won all three of his individuals. The junior started off by winning the 100 Backstroke, clocking in at 53.93. He also won the 50 Free with a time of 21.29. Davis finished up his individuals with a victory in the 100 Butterfly (52.40).
In the 100 Breaststroke, Baum took top honors, touching the wall at 1:00.05. The freshmen also won the 100 Free (47.67).
The men finished up the meet with a win in the 200 Free Relay. The quartet of Baum,
Kam Faychak,
John Martin, and Davis came in at 1:27.56.
The meet was Saint Vincent's final event before the three-day Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships, which get underway on Thursday, February 15.
