The Saint Vincent men's tennis team earned its first victory of the season, a 9-0 sweep of Mount Aloysius College on the road in Altoona.
The victory was the team's first under first-year head coach
Brian Niemiec.

The Bearcats opened the match with a sweep of doubles, highlighted by an 8-0 victory at third doubles by
Alex DeLuca and
Riley Maruca. This victory marks the first collegiate win for both players.

Saint Vincent continued to roll in singles, claiming all six points in straight sets.
Ryan Hartz opened up singles play with a 6-3, 6-2 victory in the third position.
Jon Oskin struck the winning blow for the Bearcats with his 6-2, 6-3 win at second singles.

The victory sets Saint Vincent's record at 1-6 on the year. The Bearcats will return home to face Geneva College in their Presidents' Athletic Conference opener on Monday, March 19 at 12 noon. The match will be played at the Greensburg Racquet Club.
