The SVC men's lacrosse team recorded its second consecutive shutout, defeating Bethany College by a score of 23-0 on the Saint Vincent turf in Ohio River Lacrosse Conference action.

With the win, Saint Vincent moves its winning streak to eight games to improve to 11-3 overall. The Bearcats stay unbeaten in ORLC play as they move to 7-0. The 11 wins ties a single-season school record, which was set back in 2005.

Saint Vincent built a 9-0 lead after the first before taking a 16-0 advantage into halftime. The Bearcats added three more goals in the third and four scoring tallies in the fourth quarter.

Jeremy Kennedy led the offense once again, tallying a seven-point effort, which included five goals and two assists. Kennedy now has 51 goals for the season, putting him one shy of the single-season school record set by Nick Pensyl back in 2015.

Alex Mueser recorded four goals while Stone Haberstroh tallied a five-point (1g, 4a) performance. Hunter Sharp picked up four total points (2g, 2a) against the Bison, while Frank Casile (2g, 1a), Anthony Hogeback (1g, 2a) and Ben Price (1g, 2a) all totaled three points.

Matt Wilson led the defense with six ground balls, while John Wohlin won 6-of-9 face-offs and added four ground balls. Luke Falvo registered three ground balls and a team-high three caused turnovers to his day. Brandon Martin picked up the victory in net, improving to 5-1 on the season.

As a team, Saint Vincent out-shot visiting Bethany by a 67-12 margin. The Bearcats held a 56-32 edge in ground ball pickups while also forcing the Bison to commit 44 turnovers.

Saint Vincent hosts Hanover College for Senior Day at Chuck Noll Field on Saturday, April 21. Start time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
